to Senior Rescue Goldens"
Welcome to the
More About Us:
Golden Retriever Senior Rescue
Sanctuary and Educational Center
The concept for the Golden Retriever Senior Rescue Sanctuary and Educational Center, Inc. was conceived in September 2011 by a small group of Golden Retriever enthusiasts.
GRSRS&EC's GOLDEN MISSION:
To provide life-long support for Senior/Special Needs/Hospice Rescue Golden Retrievers rescued by GRSRS&EC approved Sanctuaries and nationwide 501(c) 3 Golden Retriever Rescue Programs, providing a communal, home like setting where the Golden's emotional, social and medical needs are met. Those with emotional or physical challenges that make adoption inappropriate or unlikely or that need Hospice Care will receive additional positive life experience opportunities.
To provide Animal Welfare Education Programs and resources for the public of all ages.
GRSRS&EC's GOLDEN GOALS for 2017:
• Our first 2017 goal is to provide all food and special treats for the year for the Senior Goldens at The Lynne Glennon Sanctuary for Senior Goldens and Pupppy Mill Survivors at Delaware Valley Golden Retriever Rescue in Reinholds, PA and in the Homeward Bound Golden Retriever Rescue programs in Elverta, CA.
• Continue developing and expanding our education programs, such as our Sky Blue Pink Early Childhood Humane Education Book Project. GRSRS&EC has acquired a “Little Free Library” container that will be used indoors or outside to make age appropriate books relating to the importance and need for rescue and care for all living things and is available to children and people who wish to take one of the books for a child that they know. This includes clinicians, teachers, parents, relatives, friends etc.
GRSRS&EC is a volunteer-run organization. All activities will be defined, developed and launched by volunteers. All activities will be funded by fundraisers conducted by the volunteers of GRSRS&EC and Grants.
