SPECIAL CALL TO PRIVATE PILOTS
Please consider becoming part of the Golden Wings Program that provides transportation by individuals piloting private planes to transport Senior Rescue Golden Retrievers from Golden Rescue Programs to the Sanctuary & Center. Airports both large and small are within 10 miles of the Sanctuary.
The pilot’s expertise and generosity of spirit is deeply appreciated. Gas costs will be reimbursed by the Sanctuary & Center or the entire trip (plane & fuel) may be taken as a tax donation.
Most transportation runs between Golden Rescue Programs and the Sanctuary & Center will be done by car, but there are some circumstances where the Golden being transported will benefit greatly both physically and emotionally by being flown to the Sanctuary & Center. This is when the Golden Wings Program will be appropriate and kind and will help decrease the stress the Senior Rescue Golden experiences.
We are looking for a dedicated Golden person to help develop and implement this program. Please share this information with any private pilots you know.
