GOLDEN “IN SPIRIT” SPONSOR/ ADOPTION PROGRAM
Once the Sanctuary is Open (Fall of 2013) this program will start and is open to all people from sea to sea, young or old, single or married, in good health or not, requiring supportive living facilities or living independently, every person can experience the joy of an “In Spirit” Sponsor Adoption of a Sanctuary Resident Senior Golden.
Each Sponsor will be assigned the sponsorship of a specific Sanctuary Living Care Unit and will “In Spirit” adopt that unit’s resident Golden. The Sponsor will receive pictures, a photo album and the resident Golden’s background information. The sponsor will then receive monthly pictures and personal update letters about their “In Spirit” adopted Sanctuary resident.
We encouraged Sponsors to make site visits at the Sanctuary when every possible and appropriate toys and treats may be mailed to their “In Spirit” Adopted Sanctuary Golden.
When their “In Spirit” Golden goes to the Rainbow Bridge, they will be notified immediately, and shortly afterwards an introduction to the new Senior Rescue Golden who is admitted to that specific sponsored Living Care Unit will be made with photos and background information. The Sponsor will then receive monthly pictures and personal update letters regarding their new “In Spirit” Adopted Sanctuary resident.
Each Sponsor in addition to receiving monthly pictures and written updates will be gifted with a lovely pin reflecting the gentle, loving spirit of these Senior Rescue Golden Retrievers.
A Sponsorship makes a wonderful gift for a relative, special Golden lover in your life, or someone who can no longer physically have their own Golden. This “In Spirit” Sponsorship Adoption Program will enable them to have the joyous experience of being part of a Golden Companion’s life once again.
This is a special gift that a group of friends or relatives can pool their money and give to a special person of any age. In memoriam for the person’s own dog or just from friends or relatives who want them to experience the feeling of a Golden Companion once again, if only with pictures and letters. The money is also tax deductible for each person contributing to the gift.
The cost for this program is a donation of $1,000 per year and is tax deductible. All monies generated by this program will be used directly for the total care of a Sanctuary Resident.
