Do you love Golden Retrievers?  Of course you do!  We do, too!

Our deep concern for senior rescue Goldens who have limited options during their golden years inspired us to establish The Golden Retriever Senior Rescue Sanctuary and Educational Center in Barrington, NH. (“The Sanctuary”)  www.goldenretrieversanctuary.org  

We are a nonprofit 501(c)(3) corporation (pending) whose mission is to provide a forever home to aging or infirm Golden Retrievers from Golden rescue programs across the country where their prospects for adoption are few. When a senior or special needs Golden from a rescue program or foster home comes to live out their days at The Sanctuary, it opens up a place in the “rescue network” for other Goldens who may need temporary foster care until ultimately being placed in a forever home. 

We are in the early stages of development and need to compile a mailing list of friends and supporters for our periodic printed newsletter entitled, “The Old Gold Gazette”.

We need your help in creating a mailing list of Golden owners (and Golden friends) in your town or city, and to also encourage your out-of-town friends to do the same.

This is how the process works:

1. Contact the town clerk or dog licensing officer in your town hall or city hall
2. Ask if you can have access to the names and addresses of residents who have Golden Retrievers.  Very often the clerk will ask you to come in person to view the list of licensed dogs.  Sometimes the official list is organized by breed.
3. Compile a list of the owners’ names and mailing addresses
4. If possible, put the list into a spreadsheet (Microsoft Excel, Google Documents, Mac Numbers).  If that is not convenient, kindly enter the names into an email.
5. Send the list to: info@goldenretrieversanctuary.org
6. Also, please send a link to THIS page in a memo to twenty or more of your personal contacts who are in different towns, cities, and states who either have or love Goldens.  Ask your friends to follow the five steps above. 

If everyone pitches in, the mailing list for The Old Gold Gazette newsletter could number in the many thousands in no time!  Before you go to your town or city hall, be sure to check with the list on the right side of this page to see if your town has already been covered by another volunteer.  As each volunteer sends in names for a city/town, we’ll update the site with the new town names.
